Clinical Trials Information

Clinical Trials represent the central part of the approval of a new medication. When a drug company has discovered a potential medication to treat a medical condition, they typically must first test the medication in animals. Once enough information has been gathered from those studies, a drug maker will apply to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to test the medication in Humans. Permission to investigate a new drug in humans will allow the pharmaceutical company to conduct clinical trials.  We encourage all potential clinical trials participants to read about the drug development and clinical trials process. Below are a few links that may help in that process.
