Who We Are

Dr. Maynard began his career in pre-clinical drug development, working on pharmacological methods of treating substance abuse. His educational career includes work in psychiatry and neurology, in both human and animal models of diseases. He has worked in clinical drug trials for over 15 years in both academic and industry settings and has served as a sub-investigator on over 100 industry sponsored studies. He began North Texas Clinical Trials in 2012 with the goal of bringing access to clinical trial opportunities to Tarrant County and beyond and provide timely and accurate to drug developers. He serves as Principal Investigator. He resides in Dallas with his wife and two children.
Brian Maynard, PhD

Dr. Ghelber is a board certified general psychiatrist currently practicing in Fort Worth, Texas. She trained in general psychiatry at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston.
Dr Ghelber passed the written part of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology certification examination in May 2011 and the oral examination in January 2012. Special interests include treating patients with major depressive disorder, treatment resistant major depressive disorder, addiction to narcotics (opioids), anorexia nervosa and bulimia (eating disorders), insomnia, and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Dr. Ghelber also has Israeli general psychatry training and is board certified in adult psychiatry in Israel. In Israel, she worked for 18 years in various academic and clinical positions and was involved in the treatment of victims of terror attacks, Holocaust survivors, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), patients with eating disorders, patients with bereavement; in geriatric psychiatry; and, as a director of a busy psychiatric emergency room, in various psychiatric emergencies.
Dr Ghelber is published in medical journals and presented at international psychiatrists meetings.

Diana Ghelber, MD

Dr. Meisamy graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Journalism and received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of North Texas Health Science Center. She completed residency in Psychiatry at John Peter Smith Hospital and is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.
As the Chief Psychiatrist at the Federal Medical Center Carswell, she oversee the delivery of psychiatric services for female offenders and provide consultative services via telehealth to other Federal Bureau of Prison facilities. She serves on the Medical Executive Committee, the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and the National MAT Clinical Consultant Committee. She has presented mental health topics at national professional conferences and to local community audiences.
In addition to her clinical practice, she holds an Assistant Professor appointment with the TCU and UNTHSC School of Medicine. She guides psychiatry residents and medical students in evaluation and treatment of patients admitted to the psychiatric hospital at Tarrant County’s John Peter Smith Hospital. She has been a clinical investigator with North Texas Clinical Trials since 2013. She was selected Top Doctor by her peers in 2019 and profiled in 360West Magazine

Lili Meisamy, DO

Texas native, Dr. James Winn, MD, is a board-certified Family Practice physician with years of experience in the practice of medicine and in physician leadership. He graduated from University of Texas in Galveston (UTMB) medical school and completed his residency training at UTMB Galveston University Hospital. Board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine in 1973, he has practiced medicine privately in both Ft. Worth as well as his hometown of Uvalde, Texas.
Dr. Winn has been appointed to and served on numerous boards and commissions. Dr. Winn's former leadership positions include Colonel (retired) of the Texas Army National Guard, Chief of Staff of Uvalde Memorial Hospital, and President and CEO of the Federation of State Medical Boards. He continues to be in physician leadership positions having recently served as the President of the UTMB Alumni Association and chairman of the Board of Trustees. He is an Ashbel Smith Distinguished Alumnus of the University of Texas Medical Branch. Since retiring from his private practice in 2015, Dr. James Winn still enjoys to actively practice medicine and has taken a special interest in clinical research. He believes that the clinical research is changing the face of modern medicine and he closely follows the new developments.
In his free time Dr. Winn enjoys golfing, traveling and spending quality time with wife, Vicki, and their family, including their three shared daughters, sons-in-law and their four fantastic grandchildren.
